A few words about Linbox-Free&ALter Soft
Free&ALter Soft is an IT services company specializing in Libre/Free Software since its foundation in 1996. Free&ALter Soft took over Linbox in 2001.
Linbox acquisition allowed us to benefit from a new name that is now easier to memorize, but that was certainly not the essential !
The services department
Debian, Samba, Computing clusters, services around complex systems and networks, software port are among our focuses. Those historical activities are at the basis of our services department . For each of these, we offer a full set of high quality services : from consulting to support through development, integration, training and maintenance.
This is why Linbox FAS has created strong partnerships, often since its foundation, with some of the biggest French R&D centers: Renault, EADS, France Télécom R&D, PSA, TDF, Thomson Multimedia, Mitsubishi Electric... We are endorsed by these customers, thanks to our ability to provide them, year after year, with reliable solutions and industrial quality support.
Beyond these references our current development is made easier by the increasing popularity of the GNU/Linux platform, coming from its recognized reliability and interoperability.
The product department
Linbox acquisition allowed us to make the best use of the experience acquired by our engineers over the years, by creating a product department . Our goal is now to target a much wider customer base with turnkey products, based on software design and integration. Meanwhile; we continue to develop our historical services activity.
We consider the cross fertilization of both department as being very promising for the quality of our global offering to the market.
Our objective
In an increasingly open world with IT infrastructures getting more complex as time goes by, our objective is to help our customers keep their systems and networks running properly and safely through the use of our cost efficient products, methodologies and services.
A reinforced structure
Linbox FAS's structure has been recently reinforced by a new capital injection, the recruitment of new engineers and the development of new products. Our capacity to fulfill the requirements of the market is thus vastly improved.
